4 nail trends taking over our Instagram this summer
We love a good nail art moment, and we know we’re not alone. With life resuming some normalcy, it’s time to bring a bit of colour back into life, and what better way to do this than a super trendy nail art design done from the comfort of your home? Thanks to our mobile nail technicians, we’ve discovered four nail trends that are going to be making waves for the rest of summer and beyond. So, whether you’re a French manicure kind of gal or enjoy experimenting at each manicure appointment, our pros have come up with four nail trends you’ll want to keep on your radar.
1. Chrome nails
Chrome nails have taken over our feed and for good reason! They’ve turned out to be one of the most popular and eye-catching manicure looks of 2020. Not only does chrome look gorgeous and unique, but it’s also quite uncomplicated to achieve. Our pro Nikki K. created the ombre chrome you see here, but there are so many different colour routes you can go with chrome. Opt for silver if you want a mirrored look or neon for something a bit more flashy. If you’re someone who enjoys bright nails, this look is definitely is for you!
2. Multi-colour nails
While you may realize that this look closely resembles the mismatched manicures of your youth, the trick here is using colours that complement each other. Our pro Renee O. created the look in this photo, and we are loving the three-tones used! As simple as it is, it makes such a statement. After all, who doesn’t love a nail art trend that’s easy to DIY too? Plus, this one is great if you’re indecisive when choosing a single polish shade.
3. Pastel gradient nails
If you’ve seen our Insta feed recently, you can tell that we’re totally obsessed with pastels. We’re in love with this subtle baby blue & pink gradient ombre look done by our pro Lauren Y. There are tons of different variations you can do with this look, as you can use up to five different colours if you want to make things pop, or stick to two colours but keep the gradient effect to a single nail, creating an ombre effect on each nail. Whatever route you choose to go, this look is sure to attract a ton of compliments!
4. The updated French manicure
This is not your grandmother’s French manicure. The pop of colour takes this look from old school to trendy real fast. Instead of a traditional crescent at the tip on an almond shape nail, consider bringing the French manicure look to coffin/square/stiletto shape for a super cute and updated look. Our pro Renee O. created the pink square mani you see here and we love the bright pink look for summer!
